I cannot describe how wonderful August has been, the excitement I have felt for the month has been overwhelming and I’m so sad to say goodbye to it.
This month was been full of adventure and trips, I’ve tried to get out as much as I can with the kids when I wasn’t at work, we’ve been to local beaches to hunt for sea glass and visited Upnor Castle on the south coast. Went up to Lincolnshire for a weekend away with Neil’s parents and had our annual holiday to Mersea Island.
I have had fun doing lots of different kinds of photography shots this time around, it was harvest during our trip to Lincolnshire so I managed to create an image I had in my head for a year, a combine doing it’s job with the dust and the sun in the background, I did tweak it a little in lightroom but it’s always a delight when I imagine something and am able to create it and while in Mersea we all sat up late and took photos of the sky at night, Mersea island is pretty much in the middle of nowhere so the sky was full of diamonds.
All in all a wonderful month and while it’s sad to say goodbye to the summer holidays, we finally welcome the ‘ber months and the best time of year..
Autumn!!
Sightings from August

The last images Neil took but I wanted to share them as well.

I am excited for the September, when the autumn colours start appearing and the sunsets get magical.

Beautiful photos! I’d never heard of Mersea Island before, but it sounds like a unique and magical place.
Thanks for sharing!
Your photography is so beautiful. I especially love the first image of the window and the nature photos. I need to get my camera out and put it use!
