I saw another daily prompt that I wanted to join in with, the last one was about my favourite season but this time its all about my favourite game.
I am not sure if I have shared this here before, but I am a gamer, I don’t sadly game as much as I like due to parenting duties however when I do find the time I like to sit down and enjoy the odd game or two.
I do have a few favourites but the main one has and will always be The Elder Scrolls V Skyrim. The game itself is roughly the same age as my middle daughter Amelia, around 13 years old this November, but that has not taken away my enjoyment and love of the game. It is something, Similar to Minecraft, that I find myself returning too over and over again.
This time I have set up a save on my partners xbox, I originally started it to get him some achievements in the game and its currently on Game Pass, but I loaded up the mods (like I always do) and made the game for me a lot more immersive and fun.

Originally when the game was released only the PC gamers got to enjoy the mods which I did dabble in for a little while and gained a great love for all the atmosphere and scenery as well as the NPC mods that allow them to be a lot more free to wander around adding lots of that important immersion and while the xbox didn’t have the same, it was still enjoyable but once mods became a thing with the xbox as well, I swiftly changed up the game and said goodbye to achievements, but lets face it, I have most of them now anyway ha!
Skyrim to me has always felt like home, I can find myself losing so much time just wandering around the landscape and doing all the quests, and even to this day I find random new spots in the game that I have never found in previous play throughs and now during this new play through which is with the updated version has new areas, new factions and lots more loot to find.
I play as a Khajitt, which is the cat race of the Elder Scrolls game, of course, My character is called Fluffy-Face and I love using this name through all my Elder Scrolls games, purely as I find it pretty funny when you announce who you are to people. ‘Hello my name is Fluffy-Face’.

Skyrim itself is in the north of the continent that is called Tamriel so often you’ll find as you walk around the area plenty of snowy weather, mammoths and the further north you go, icebergs settling in the Sea of Ghosts. You can become a vampire of werewolf, join in with various guilds including the thieves guild and explore many many caves and castles where you can find skill books and plenty of coins to spend in the shops of the cities, the main story is that you are the dragonborn, someone who can shout dragon words that create magic and you are enlisted into trying to rid the Skyrim of Alduin, along the way there’s many other stories and quests, jobs you can do and many more adventures.
I always hold a special place in my heart for Skyrim, its a tiny escape from the world where I can be a werewolf cat, with a vampire follower who rides horses and casts spells.
What’s your favourite game?

My one and only favorite game (as a single parent of 2 with an insane daily routine) is Brawl Stars. Thankfully it’s also part of our family time and I play with my kids 🙂
