Yes that’s right, I am about to dive into a blogging trend, I did this on my first blog many years ago and it was a lot of fun planning and preparing post for each day and of course it got my writing more often and out of any slumps that would happen.
October did become a hard month for me, without going into much detail I experienced rock bottom, so I don’t really associate it with good things anymore, however I am on a mission to make it my favorite month again and take control of it all, so I thought what better way to start this month off with all the things I am excited to do.
Things I am looking forward to in October
- Cooler weather – it’s safe to say I cannot stand the summer heat, the fact that October brings cooler weather it’s just a blessing, back into my comfortable clothes, cozy jumpers and not sweating my makeup off!
- Autumn colors – it’s already started in September but there’s just something magical about watching the colours change in the trees, we have a sycamore tree outside our house and each day we find a new and more beautiful leaf and some trees are lit up bright red, simply stunning
- Pumpkin picking – I cannot wait for this, for the past 3 years we’ve been going to Hatters Farm for pumpkins and this year is no different, while I am not fully doing Halloween this year I still want the children to have fun and select some pumpkins for carving
- Amelia’s 14th Birthday – my middle baby will be turning 14 in October, my little Scorpio is growing up and into an amazing girl and I’m excited to celebrate her birthday with her
- Comic con! – This will be our second year attending comic con, myself and Neil will be going the Friday and then on the Sunday we all go with the family ticket. I use comic con as an opportunity to find and get Christmas presents and of course anything nerdy for me!
- Halloween and The Revivals – this year I don’t have my children on Halloween but that’s okay, there is a band on at my local pub which I am going to, free drinks for the best dressed and a fun evening to dance to some good music, I’ve talked about The Revivals before on my blog and we love them!
A small list and I know for a fact that this month is just going to fly by but I am going to enjoy every second of it.

I’m SO excited about the cooler weather! 🍂 hopefully I can visit a farmers market and take my siblings trick-or-treating, we’ll see. 😄
