How can you not go pumpkin picking this time of year? We often try and visit different ones every year to spice up the experience a bit and do something a little different. however last year we did visit Hatters Farm and decided that we wanted to go along to them again this year and enjoy Pumpkin Picking at Hatters Farm and all the fun delights they have to offer.
I booked online for a weekend slot as a lot of the times were already booked up, the booking system was simple and easy and you can also add on other things that they had to offer at the farm itself. however a lot of it you can also pay on the day which is what we decided to do. Originally I wanted to get to Cammas Hall having enjoyed their strawberry picking event that runs throughout the summer but sadly the day I wanted to go was already fully booked and after having a positive experience with Hatters Farm previously we decided to give them a try.
I follow Hatters on social media and I had been seeing all the fun things that they had to offer during your time at the farm, they had some deliciously looking food and plenty of activities to enjoy including a spooky walkthrough house. My children had previously gone before me with their dad so was very excited to show me all the things they enjoyed and dragged me through the house. Our favourite part was the room with all the multicoloured dots and blacklight that made it look cool.
Once we walked through that we got ourselves some marshmallows to toast and enjoy, Hatters has mini open fire pits for you to toast the mallows up and after eating far to much sugar, myself Amelia and Robin wanted to head into the maize maze, Now I do give you a warning if you ever head into a maize maze, wear wellies. So many people who went into the maze wore white trainers and it was extremely muddy.
Going around the maze we had to collect coloured paint on our fingers, if the paint matched the winning pattern at the end of the maze then you would win a prize but each different pattern had a riddle or joke attached to it and we all got some sweeties at the end.
After the maze we collected 4 pumpkins to carve, smaller ones this year as sadly I do not have my children on Halloween but they still want to carve and put them outside for other children who might knock as I am in charge of the treats and then we headed to the pumpkin cannon.
At this time Robin decided to she had enough so wanted to go sit in the car with her nanny, who went to pay for the pumpkins so I took Kai and Amelia to shoot some pumpkins out of the air cannon. You do need to pay for all of the side events which is fine and it wasn’t too expensive, I did ask the woman taking the money that we all wanted a turn however she only gave the kids tokens to do the cannon..
Never mind.. I shall take the pictures and videos of them destroying the minion!!
All in all it was a really fun experience and compared to last year they had so much more to do, lots more food to enjoy and I highly recommend heading to Hatters Farm if you need the pumpkins, They also do other events throughout the year including Confetti fields full of beautiful flowers which I am going to get too next year during the summer months.

This looks like a fun place to spend some time at. I like anything to do with this season so would enjoy it here! It’s good they had more on offer than previous times too.
