Sorry for the silence, been a little bit busy with life and Neil being home from America… anyway..
This a daily prompt post that I saw and wanted to answer, gaming is a big part of my life, I often sit at home either with the xbox on or steamdeck playing games and loosing myself in different worlds, at the moment I am playing Stardew Valley which I have been obsessed with recently and since getting mods on the steamdeck I have made into a pretty fairy world full of sparkles and fun.
My First Game
However my gaming goes back to when I was in secondary school and playing The Sims on my friends computer, I made this gastly looking house for me and my sim husband and family and motherloded myself into riches, I didnt get fully obsessed with the sims games until I got my own computer and got The Sims 2 for it, I got lots of the expansions and then discovered custom content on the internet.
I did enjoy playing the game itself but I just loved making homes look pretty and lived in, I used to read The Sims Legacies online and tried my hardest to get my little family into different generations, The Sims sparked it, The Sims 2 made me obsessed with custom content and mods. I adored the expansions as well, my favourite was Seasons, getting my sim family out when it was snowing to build either an evil snowman and seeing the adorable penquin that would visit was always good fun.
I did play Sims 3 however it just didnt have the same magical spark that the first two had and sadly I never picked up the Sims 4 for the pc as by that point I had switched to Macbook and didnt have a PC that could play it and from what ive seen from the many sims youtubers it once again doesnt have the same magic the original games had, yes it had an expanded world you could walk around but for me I like the simplicity of The Sims 1 and 2 had.
Once I downloaded a mod that would give a random dice roll for a chance to have multiple babies in one go, my sim had quads which was a fantastic and ridiculous challenge but funny at the same time, I managed to get them into college years and one of them randomly became a vampire without me being aware of it, he went outside after a rain storm to jump into puddles and then died in the sun… chaos!!
