I often usually forget just how good my life can be, I do struggle with anxiety so my brain doesn’t connect the dots sometimes and let me feel grateful for some of the aspects of my life and then I sit down and smile and remember all the things that I am truly grateful for and I wanted to share with you them today
- My children – being a parent is a hard yet rewarding job, I am so grateful that they picked me to be their mummy and I wouldn’t change it.
- Neil – my rock, biggest support and someone I never expected would be a big part of my life but I am so glad we both took a chance because I’ve found someone who doesn’t try and crush my spirit.
- My mum – always there to lend a hand, my children love her so much, I don’t know what I’d do without my mum in my life and I am forever grateful for her help and support
- My job – weird I know, most people hate their jobs, but I had been unemployed for almost 13 years before I was offered my job as I learnt the hard way that not many people want an older parent with no work experience.
- My friends – I don’t have that many friends simply because I struggle to trust anyone but the friends I have I’m grateful for sticking beside me during the rubbish times and always happy to listen to me have a moan.

I am sure I have a lot more than five things that I am grateful for but these are the main ones, life can be a tough place and I am so grateful for everything that has made me more of a stronger person.
What are you grateful for?
