I dont usually watch alot of TV, I find that I prefer watching youtube in the evenings, However I do occasionally open up netflix or disney and watch shows on there, Myself and Neil watch stuff together and I will sit down and participate in the sport of binge watching when I have run out of things on youtube hah.
I thought it would be a fun thing to share the things that has been on my watch list lately and see if we share simular tastes in shows or perhaps inspire you to try something brand new for your own binge on the sofa.
What I have been Watching
- Handmaids Tail – I stopped watching this briefly due to it getting a little too much but I picked it up again recently and working my way through the later seasons, It is a very hard show to get through as the themes are horrifying but its something that truly makes you talk about it, I am a little bit sick of Elizabeth Moss and her closeups however the story is compelling and facinating that so many of the things that occur in the show have happened in real life somewhere in the world.
- Criminal Minds – I have watched this all the way through before but fancied a rewatch – its also another one of those shows that are extremely heavy and do require the occasional break, I made it up until series 5 and decided to take a little break. However learning about how some of the actors were bullied out of their roles is a little off putting I will be picking it back up again soon I am sure.
- Slow Horses – Neil introduced this series too me, its on Apple TV and is so good, Gary Oldman is such a brilliant actor and is just perfect for the role of Lamb, its based of a book series written by Mick Herron and has just started up its 6th series so we are watching that each week when we are together on fridays.
Thats all really, I try and pick shows that have lots of seasons so I can sit for a while and enjoy it without worrying about it ending too quickly, which is pretty silly thing to say but given that I am a big Buffy fan and that has plenty of seasons to get through and is often a part of my rewatch list, I like a good show that has plenty to see.
I am also an avid googler, so when I am watching something I will often google things about the series of if its like The Crown I will google if that thing was true or not ha, and then once I have finished the series I alway head over to reddit to see if anyone else has the same opinions as me.
