Makeup has to be one of my favorite things that I own, I have a little colletion of shadows, mascaras, eyeliners and more importantly.. glitter, I am currently a little bit of a magpie when it comes to make up and am on the hunt for the perfect glitter products to add to my makeup collection and learning that Lush design their own makeup, and a sparkly kind, made my heart sing.
I have always been into my makeup, obviously throughout the years ive picked up and put down the brushes as life took its tole but lately I have been enjoying having a little fun with what I put on my face, I brought myself some glitter eyeliners off amazon as well as some loose glitter sets which myself and my children have both used when we went to watch Taylormania in harlow a few months back but I am now on the constant hunt for more and more, I added some high end brands to my collection in the form of the beautiful Diamond Bomb by Fenty Beauty, which yes is pretty pricey but I dont often treat myself with high end products and while I was in Stratford Upon Avon I visited the local Lush to have a look at what new goodies they have on sale.
Glitter Crumble by Lush
I haven’t properly been in a lush in years, the last time I did any shopping inside a Lush was when I was getting Amelia some for her birthday and christmas as she is a big Snow Fairy fan and I knew that they did some makeup products but seeing that they make glitter, or as they call it, Glitter Crumble, I jumped at the chance to buy some and try them out. I picked two different colors, however I was beyond tempted to get myself all of them as they all looked so beautiful on my skin.
The two that I picked up are New Moon a beautiful iridescent silver powder that is right up my street, which creates a subtle yet sparkly colour to the eyelid and Little Sparkler which is a gentle purple color with sparkles like a nights sky. You only need a small amount to create such a big impact and like all lush products are organic and cruelty free as well as made with products that are based in nature.
The forumlar itself is pretty crumbly, which I guess is a obvious statement given the name of the product but you have to be careful when opening the pot itself as it can and will get everywhere as it is loose however the formular is soft and easy to spread onto your skin even with using fingers and if you are anything and theyre both very iridescent so create such gentle shimmer on the skin.
As you can tell from both swatches that each pigment isnt over powering but can be built up or added on top of darker makeup to create different styles depending on the mood like all shimmer products and its been fun doing my makeup with this sparkly pot of joy.
Makeup to me is an expression, its an art form and I have really enjoyed exploring and expermenting with different styles lately, expect plenty more sparkly makeup reviews in the near future.
