Often when Neil and I go to Lincolnshire to visit his parents we take day trips around the local area, sometimes we visit Kings Lynn which has started to become my go to place to get Pokémon cards. However this time as it was our anniversary we decided to have a meal at one of our favorite places.
The Rib Cage is a fun goth style restaurant that has the most amazing BBQ food and the best music playing while you eat, we have been there twice before once on a spur of the moment ‘I’m hungry’ and the second time with his parents, however as I said this time we was celebrating our 5th anniversary together and wanted to have something special.
The last time we went I had this amazing pulled pork hot dog that I was looking forward too, however the restaurant seems to change their menu around which is always a green flag when it comes to places to eat and their fresh ingredients, so looking over the menu I decided on getting some bbq wings, a pulled pork burger and some corn on the cob, and Neil went for a combo meal which allowed you to customize what sauces you wanted on it.
The Rib Cage was originally Liquour and Loaded but had a change of hands at the late stages of 2025 and are now under a new management team and brand new name.

I cannot tell you how amazing those chicken wings were, the bbq sauce was perfect on them and I couldn’t get enough of them, the burger was good too however I didn’t realize it had a burger with the pulled pork which was a failure on my part, but the whole thing was just perfect. Neil said what he had was lovely too, he had a mixture of bbq sauce and a pepper sauce on the chicken strips.

The also offer a selection of fun named cocktails and in-house made milkshakes, the last time we came myself and Neil’s mum helped ourselves to the cocktails but this time I had just Pepsi and we ended up deciding that we was to full for pudding so never got to try any of them that they offered, next time perhaps?!
I do like how there is the option to sit either inside or out, outside being not that outside as they have weather proof booths that can shield you from the rain, sun and cold as they have heaters in them, we decided to sit outside as it was a nice day.

The Rib Cage are extremely active on social media, they hold different events throughout the year and as you can imagine are big on the spooky which I think is why I love it.

*we paid for our meal out of our own pocket, all thoughts and opinions are my own I was not asked to review this location*
Looks an interesting place to eat and great that it uses fresh produce.
