The summer is finally upon us, well the summer has been here since the start of July but from the end of July to the start of September there is 6 glorious weeks of the summer holidays. No more school for six while weeks and ive seen so many people share their summer bucket list so I thought share mine.
I have plenty planned during these six weeks, we have a holiday booked, some day trips and most importantly I have as much holiday off from work as I could get, so I here is my summer bucket list for the summer holidays, I don’t expect to tick off everything but I am excited to give it a go and enjoy as much of these six weeks as possible

Summer Bucket List
- Go Strawberry Picking – We try and do this during the summer every year. last year when we went my mum made jam and I made strawberry vodka. This year I want to give jam a go myself and maybe make some strawberry gin, We usually go to Cammas Hall to get the fruit, they house many amazing fruit for you to pick your own as well as a cute little farm shop where I like to get some of their colourful carrots and yummy cakes.
- Visit the seaside – I want to do this as many times as I can, we do have a holiday booked this year with my mum to Mersey but I want to try and squeeze in as many trips as I possibly can, now that there is no early starts in the morning we can stay out as late as we can (within reason obvs) but I cant wait
- Visit both Hatfield and Epping Forest – I live pretty close to two big forests and I want to get the children to both of them for nice walks and photo ops which leads me into my next item…
- Take More Photos – Now I do take a lot of photos as it is, but I want to get out more with my Nikon D5000 and take plenty more pictures for our photo wall in the front room as well as experiment with my lenses.
- Try New Recipes – I’ve shared a few of my own favourite meals and recipes on my blog, but I have been browsing Pinterest and have found some delicious meals I want to try and make while I have the time to do it, I am going to do it.
- Go Swimming or Visit the local Paddling pools and splash parks – In my town, each area has a splash park or paddling pool that’s free and open to everyone to come and enjoy, giving that two of them are within walking distance of our house, we are going there for a little day out, just need to hope that the weather is good before going.

And that’s about it, I do have a few more things I plan on doing or want to do but I am keeping them hush hush for now as I want to write about them when we do them, I wouldn’t want to spoil anything for anyone ha!
What are your plans for this summer?

I love the sound of going strawberry picking with your kids! That sounds lovely. I to have a camera that has been collecting dust for a while, and the hubby is about to finish Uni, so we plan do doing more adventures too. I’m thinking of doing a family bucket list also, something like this, to create some memories. What a great idea! Enjoy your summer making memories 🙂
